Shame no-one has commented on this yet. It's a perfect weekend gentle walk. Train from Lewes to Brighton, 79 bus (20 past the hour) from the station to Ditchling Beacon (where there is sometimes an icecream van...), a totally scenic walk to Lewes, very gently undulating and with spectacular views to north (the whole of the Weald) and south (the sea). Down into Lewes for plenty of places for restoring yourself. Around 6 miles.
