This linear trail follows the national cycle route number 22 between Guildford and Farnham along mostly quiet roads and bridleways to the south of the Hog's Back ridge. It includes a visit to the pretty villages of Compton, Puttenham and Searle. Guildford and Farnham are connected by a rail service (change trains at Aldershot) providing a convenient way to return to your start.

Your cycle ride can be extended by a further 7 miles by following the Rowledge and Alice Holt trail from Farnham railway station to Bentley and then returning to Farnham or Guildford by train.
