After leaving the town through the old Abbey grounds and walking on through fields and meadows, the trail joins the Thames Path at Pinkhill Lock where, in 1791, the old flashlock was replaced with a pound lock. The return walk leads you towards the elegant Georgian Swinford Toll Bridge, built in 1767.

Assuming a constant pace and no stops, typically it will take 1 hour 30 minutes to walk the distance and along the way 401 calories will be burnt.
