The highlight of this walk is on top of Shoulder of Mutton Hill, where you can admire the stunning views of the Hampshire landscape and the South Downs. After lunch the route leaves the Hangers Way, following a network of public footpaths over large fields.

This is a great walk with superb views and lots to see. The pub in Hawkley is a real highlight. After leaving the hangers way, directions become a little trickier at the point it advises to "cross 5 stiles". The byway refered to after this on the right appears to take you to a dead end near the grounds of a large house called Hawkley Hurst. Our advice is to walk up the steps into the gardens of the house and make your way to the lane. This is then the lane that the directions tell you that you "emerge on to". After this directions as normal.
